Cedar Mountain Service District (CMSD)
Cedar Mountain Service District serves Cedar Mountain in beautiful Southern Utah. Our Cedar Mountain Fire & Rescue division provides firefighting and emergency medical service throughout the 94 square miles of the District, plus we respond to neighboring communities including Long Valley. We also manage snow removal on subdivision roads in the District during Winter and deliver a dust mitigation product for subdivision roads in the Summer.

Community Chipping Program
The Cedar Mountain Service District (CMSD) is pleased to offer the Community Chipping Program, a grant-funded initiative designed to reduce wildland fire hazardous fuels and enhance community safety. This service is provided at no cost to residents within CMSD boundaries for the purpose of fire mitigation.

Pile Preparation Requirements
To ensure our crews can work safely and efficiently, all debris piles must adhere to the following standards:
- Proper Placement: Piles must be placed along the edge of the roadway for easy access. Our crews cannot enter private property to clean lots.
- Pile Orientation: Please stack limbs with the "butt ends" (the thicker end of the branch) facing the road to facilitate quick loading into the chipper.
- Readiness: Please do not request our service until you have gathered all piles to be chipped.
- Visual Guide: Refer to the image above for a representation of an acceptable pile.
